University measures taken regarding COVID-19
- MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The risk assessment level is currently WHITE. It is not compulsory to wear respirators in all MU buildings.

MU is operating following the university traffic-light system. The university currently has a “WHITE LIGHT” rating, determined by the MU Crisis Board. University faculties, institutes, and offices may declare a higher alert level than the university-wide level or introduce stricter rules than elsewhere at the university. Follow the websites of individual faculties and the colour-coded signs hanging on the exteriors of MU buildings.

After achieving its best-ever position (400th) in the QS World University Rankings and maintaining its position among the world’s top 500 universities in the ARWU Shanghai Rankings, MU has also achieved success in THE World University Rankings.

Cutting-edge Dioscuri research centre established at MU
Developmental biologist Peter Fabian from MU Faculty of Science will lead one of three new Dioscuri research centres in the Czech Republic. MU has thus succeeded in an international programme to promote scientific excellence in Central and Eastern Europe.

Masaryk University has been ranked 161st out of 688 European universities in the brand-new QS World University Rankings: Europe 2024.

European librarians praise MU libraries and their approach to students
Before the start of the semester, Masaryk University welcomed a total of 15 librarians from several European universities who came to Brno for a one-week course organised by MU libraries.
